Other than my fave- Johnny Depp, John Barrowman could do it. At least as an adult Fekix.
 As for his really older years...well, he was not very active from WW2 and after. Perhaps a "remebering his past bit?   If I recall correctly, they remained in Paris during the occupation but did not collaborate, or at least were never accused of it

John Barrowman-excellent suggestion!David Bowie could lend his hand to an older Felix.A series about the Yuossoupovs should indeed show their closeness to the IF and their social influence.Sir Ian McKellan would make a sterling Grand Duke.Which one?The lovely Liv Tyler could play which young Grand Duchess?

Liv Taylor could play Irina, but certainly not one of the Nicholaevna grand duchesses.

btw, I have a question which is about real Felix who appeared in a movie. is it true that in "I killed Rasputin" (1967) he and Irina appeared in the beggining or so...? or maybe I confure smth..

That's a tough one to answer. I think I would tend to want to find an unknown actor who looked like Felix and had talent. I wouldn't like to see a ''name" playing him who looked nothing like him.

He is way to old now but my first choice was always the very young Jeremy Irons.  He can portray the sexual ambivalence required for the part of Felix very well.

I wish someone would make a Youssoupoff mini series. There is so much potential in it.

I was watching the trailer for "The Young Victoria" and I realized Rupert Friend could play Felix in a movie.




Maybe Kiera Knightly as Irina??

but yeah, Kiera! the women both have unusual faces. and both are so fragile.
though I'm in love with Kiera's beauty, I don't like Irina's appearance at all!

Alot of people don't like Irina's looks, but I do think that for her time 1910's and early 1920's she did seem to fit the profile of beauty.
