Depp looks nothing like Felix, who was fair-skinned & fair-haired...Bale looks a LOT like him but his personality is dry as dirt, I don't think he could pull off a decent characterization.

As far as I know Felix had dark hair...
still, Bale has very sharp features, but...you're right, he's ok for Felix. (especcialy if compare with Depp and Leto)

In his 30th Felix had rather dark brown hair & turquoise-transparent green eyes as well as his mother. Is there an actor with such features today? Maybe in Germany of UK? )))
