How does their jewelry collection stack up?  Or is this on another thread?

Not the best in Europe.  But who needs jewels when one is that beautiful?

Viktoria really handled her eating disorder well in public. It must have been ultimately hard, everyone was staring at her and her thinness all the time.  Remember at the time I had many friends who were in the same kind of situation. It was a kind of "fashion"thing then, not that I mean anyone wants to get a disease because its fashionable, but people started to talk about it (or all those various kinds of eating problems) at the time. And I think her pattern or model was really helpful for young girls.
Good for you Viktoria!

The Crown jewels are on display in the Royal Treasury, with the coronation crown from 1561, among others.
The Bernadotte jewellery collection includes the famous "Leuchtenberg sapphires" (tiara, necklace, etc) made in 1805 for Empress Joséphine, seen on her majesty the Queen on many Nobel ceremonies over the years. There are various tiaras and really nice jewellery brought to the country by foreign Princess-brides. ;)

The Swedish royal collection is one of the 3 finest in Europe ( after GB and Holland). There are about a dozen tiara's including one ( of cameo's & pearls)that belonged to the Empress Josephine,a stupendous set of sapphires originally given by Napoleon to his stepson's bride Princess Augusta of Bavaria and a huge diamond diadem inherited from the childless Empress of Brazil by her sister Queen Josephine. Later additions include 2 tiara's from Princess Margaret of Connaught.About 2/3 of the gems are owned by the family foundation set up by Jean Bernadotte when he came to the throne. The rest are personally owned by the royal couple.
