Without hesitation Viktoria Luise which had all the qualities of a Princess : beauty, grace, elegance, intelligence, determination, cheerfulness and charm. I think she was one of the smiling princess and the most interesting of her time.

Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna (Ella) - She was a very strong and benevolent woman, she spent her whole life helping the poor and orphans.
Grand Duke Ernest Ludwig (Ernie) - I find him funny.
Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna (Alix of Hesse) - She was a good mother and a good wife, although I dislike some aspects of her character.

VMH- because she reminds me of myself (Intellectual, a tomboy, odd sense of humor, bookworm, doesn't cry easily, talkative...)
Elizabeth (Ella)- because she was kind and forgiving, even in the face of death. She was musically talented, like me; From what I know, she had a slightly odd sense of humor; She created something beautiful from the many tragedies of her life (the convent).
Alexandra (Alix) - loving wife and mother; she ignored status and threw herself into nursing, even when she herself was sick (sciatica, breathlessess, etc.)

well my favorite are

VHM - she was a very strong woman.With her 15-years her mother lost and, nevertheless surrendered they separate her brothers and sisters and her father comforted. It was always involved in everything and learnt seriousness of the life. It was also for her children and grandchildren a model.(i think that everyone would love her!!)

Ella - it was a beauty, however, this did not count particularly, she had a good heart for poor and richly. She was open and lively person. Obwol so many they said a better man would find, she took Sergei, although everybody hated him, she opened her heart for him.( i think she would win all hearts, if rich or poor..)


Ernie - as well as his sisters he was also very kind and friendly. He was sensitive, however, he had a strong sense for humor like all his sisters and he loved his Hessen - country. He was a good duke, husband as well as father.( i think he would be a good friend,who you can tell all..)

Friedrich III and  Heinrich (how much better if one of these two had been Emperor at the beginning of the last century rather than Little Willie); and among the younger ones  Oskar, Adalbert and Viktoria Luise; and after the deluge, Louis Ferdinand, and Friedrich (a.k.a Mr Friedrich von Preussen).  Oskar perhaps best of all.

I admire VMH, naturally.  Sensible, intelligent and pragmatic.  She knew her duty and was strong enough to do it, no matter the cost. A person who realized there was more to life beyond herself.
