Hi SGC & Helen_A,

I still sneak around this wonderful site from time to time. Crimson Snow was my baby for a spell.

My favorite real life characters in it are Grand Duke Alexander- Sandro and Prince Felix. Both were tied to a woman's love but the two men could not be more different. Prince Felix was Sandro's son-in-law. The story covers the weekend of Rasputin's murder and is seen through the eyes of wounded prince named Serge.

SGC- if you get a chance to read Crimson and meet Serge, please tell me what you think.

Best regards,
David Shone

I ordered the book this afternoon from Amazon, along with the Russian Ark DVD I'm sure you've heard about. They normally ship very fast, so I'm willing to wager I'll be able to begin reading the novel ASAP and have it finished within the next 2-3 weeks.

Very enjoyable so far...I will begin the Day 2 section tomorrow and let everyone know my opinion after I've finished the entire book

Your fictional character Serge and I have a lot in common, let me assure you.

Crimson Snow: The Last Desperate Days of Imperial Russia

Power is the ULTIMATE HIGH. Civil war looms in the House of Romanov, as members of the royal family speak freely of a regime change. Only a young prince wounded by the war and a ballerina past her prime can stop the upcoming bloodshed. But even they may be too late... CRIMSON SNOW reigns supreme as it welcomes its readers to witness the last act of the death of a dynasty.
