I've got a question:
Why does the constitution have to be changed if it's a girl? They already have a Queen now, so if Frederik & Mary will have a girl first, why doesn't she automatically 'inherit the throne'?
The constitution as such will not have to be changed.
Art.2 states:The Royal Power is inherited by men and women in accordance with the provisions in
the Succession to the Throne Act,March 27th 1953.It was by this Bill that Present Queen Margrete II
became,officially,Heir Apparent.
Be that as it may,the PM has already passed a Bill to Parliament(with the approval of the opposition-)to once and for all settle the Succession properly.
Danmark is getting more and more excited now,as the time is nearing, but I guess that also applies to many on this Forum.......regardless of the baby's sex,(or names..
)I hope both mother and child will be in good health.
