Yes, I search for any portrait of Luise - for example in a voluminous book on the Windisch-Graetzs I did not find an image of her. The Mecklenbourg Archives must contain something...

I've been searching for her image for a while but still nothing.I believe some picture must be somewhere...: )

There was a thread where we discussed the portrait in the room of GD Maria Pavlovna-elder...we didn't know who could be in that portrait...is there any chance that she kept the portrait of one of her aunts in her rooms?She had just one aunt from her father's side and that is Luise...just giving a thought!

I've only found these painting of Alexandrine von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and two of her children:




The children must be
Friedrich Franz II. von Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1823–1883)
and Luise (1824–1859) married Hugo, Prince of Windisch-Grätz

Wilhelm (1827–1879) has not yet been born

But still no picture of Luise alone or in later years...

The lady is Marie, no doubt. But the man is not her husband Paul Friedrich, but his eldest brother Friedrich Franz. Probably the publisher of that shot, a newspaper I think, just mixed up the brothers.
