Don't think I've ever seen that pic.  She looks amazing.  Compared to what happened later.  Didn't she end up in exile in the UK, very mannish looking, estranged from all family and living like a hermit.  Just asking.

Yes she looks stunning in that picture, imo she was more beautiful than her sisters. She gained weight and didn’t care about her appearance, especially after her husband death that’s why many people think she wasn’t attractive anymore. But I don’t agree that she looks mannish, for me whenever I look at her pictures no matter how old is she, I see an attractive woman, and really she was a beautiful person inside and outside. And in exile in England, she lived a simple life in a farm, nothing wrong with that, imo.

The picture looks as if it was taken on board an early aircraft, though to judge from Alexander's clothes (especially the hat) he wasn't actually going flying.

He actually flew over the French Air, since the photo was taken in April of 1910, when young Regent visited France. It was 'Flyer No.1'. (by 'The Wright brothers').
