Bottom line Margarita is Crown Princess and heiress to the throne. It belongs to her no other member! I read that she resides at Elisabeth Palace does anyone have the address or know where that is?

She is not "crown princess", there is no such title. She MAY be her father's heir in his immediate family, but NOT in the constitutional role of the monarchy [defunct].
It would be totally up to the Romanian people to decide if a monarchy would be restored and WHO would sit on such a throne.

If Romania enters the European Union then such sexual bias would probably be abolished - as in the case of Sweden, Norway, Netherlands - Margaret would then legally be Michaels heir to the Throne of Romania.

In 1997, Michael named Margarita to succeed him as head of the house, but not as sovereign.  Why?  Because the king adheres to a constitution that allowed only male inheritance.  Michael cannot change the succession.  The monarchy would have to be restored, and the Parliament would have to make the change.
Male descendants of the daughters have no rights either.   According to the old law, the throne would pass  back to the Hohenzollerns-Sigmaringens ... but that's really a moot point.

I believe Princess Margareta, Michael's eldest daughter (he's ahd no sons) is his heir presumtive (if we can really speak of an heir to a country where the throne is nonexistent), but since she has no issue, the rights will fall on her next sister and from her to her son, Nicholas Medforth-Mills. Can anyone forward any info about him and how closely he is to Romania, or the whole family for that matter?

I though "prince Mircea" has been legitimated.
Thank you very much for your useful informations!!!

In the late 1950s, Carol Lambrino went to court in France and Portugal, in order to lay claim to his father's estate.  Courts in both countries ruled that he was a "legitimate heir" to his father, Carol II.  Legitimate in terms of inheriting property in France and Portugal.  (There was not a lot to inherit - he and Michael inherited each a half share in a house that was falling apart.)  The court decisions could not rule on dynastic matters but Carol did adopt the HRH and title Prince of Romania after these court cases.  He is not entitled to either.  He was born after his parents' marriage was annulled.

Entering the EU would not change anything about succession, that is up to individual countries to handle. The UK is a prime expample. While the more progressive monarchies of Europe have done so, it had nothing to do with EU membership.

EU membership does not affect succession to the throne ... such things are done by legislation within the particular country.   Romania is not a monarchy.

Bottom line -  Margarita will succeed her father as head of the family, as stated in Michael's 1997 statement.  However, she is not Crown Princess nor heir to the throne.  Michael has also stated this numerous times in public  and I have similar statements from his Majesty in correspondence.

Even if Romania is not a monarchy the royal line goes on. Lets not make the mistake of confusing a political system like monarchy with royalty, which is mostly a hierarchy of people and a set of written-unwritten traditions.  Monarchy is only a part [central, off course] of royalty. They are quite different, even though they usually go together. There is royalty without monarchy and vice versa.

The heir is important and in a situation like this I think the will of the king has a considerable weight, despite the legal frame. I don’t think the Hohenzollerns would dispute the requests of King Michael, they seem to be in good relations. And also Margarita is the only offspring of the royal family willing to involve itself in Romania, as she already does. Paul Lambrino is not a serious candidate [even as a person he is a joke].
