Yes, otma had many dolls as is evidenced by a picture in another thread-did any of these dolls survive at all? Of course any kid needs a teddybear. ;)

Actually at the exhibit in Delaware a few years ago, they were selling small replicas of the teddy bear.  I wish I had bought one because now I can't find one anywhere.  Anyone ever seen any of these replicas for sale anywhere?

Well, that was helpful ::)

Grandduchess, I have a student named Teddy and a colleague called Rabbi. ;)

But anyway, I'm still looking for any information about whether or not it's possible to obtain one of those replicas of Alexei's teddy bear's.  Why didn't i buy one when I had the chance?!  They weren't very expensive.

sorry

anyway, i would say it's unlikely, unless you are able to find the show, or go to a muesuem about the family.
otherwise check ebay or historical shops to do with the romanovs, i would look for it on specialist sites, maybe russian ones based in Alexander palace or thereabouts.

I doubt you'll be able to get the same exact one unless someone sells it on Ebay, but I've seen modern reproductions of Steiff mohair teddy bears for sale. Amazon for example has one for $140.
