The books (3 volumes) were only printed in 1929 and since then have never been reprinted im Germany.

All her daughters married well like she and her sisters. Through them the Portuguese blood of the Braganzas reached the major Catholic houses of Europe.

The series was taken for his 80th (?) birthday celebrations. He'd seen and lost a lot in those years--including 3 children and 2 wives.

Indeed. Rupprecht had not had an easy life. There was all the political upheaval as well as his personal losses.
