Brian...
Is this picture the part of the house represented in the lower right corner of the floor plan you posted?

Many thanks Brian, I just found this today.  If this the palace that Nicholas bought her or GD Andrei/Sergei bought her??

I would love to see what it looks like today.

I was in St.Petersburg one year ago. Last day before going to the airport, i asked my guide to stop in front of Mathilde Kshessinkaya house.

The house stills exactly as the piks shows. Regrettably i had not time even to ask if it was posible to visit it.

The guide ( a girl about 25 years old) was very surprised with my interest in the house, of course she didn´t know anything about the story of the building.

She told me that exactly five years ago the party of graduation of her school was in this house. She was delighted when i explain her who was the old propietary.

I will be in St. Petersburg towards the end of this September and plan to visit the mansion.  It IS open to the public as the "Museum of Russian Political History" ( the house reportedly was the first headquarters of the Bolsheviks in 1917 ) aka
"Osdonyak Kshesinskoy".  It's located on Petrogradsky Island not far from the fortress of Peter and Paul.
If all goes as planned with my visit, I will be able to post some interior photos by October.

You are lucky, your visit is going to coincide with the reburial of Maria Feodovna??

At the left of your picture, it is the Beloselsky-Belozersky palace ( yes, Ella palace) and in the right side, it is the Anichkov palace.

This is the Beloselsky-Belozersky palace again.
