Yes and no. I used to have a neighbour that was from Russia before the communist take over. But I've sinced moved, and I am unsure if he is still with us today, as he was rather old when I knew him. He was born in 1890 and I last saw him in January of 1999. He had just celebrated his 109th birthday. He was at the 1913 Romanov celebrations and had newspapers with articles on it. He was a lovely man, but unfortunatly didn't wish to share his life much past what I asked him. I am unsure if anyone else remains alive. The only time he said he saw the Tsar was during the celebrations, going from his carriage into the church. But I have to admit, his discription of Nicky's desposition was quite friendly, as he said that Nicky had given a daughter a kiss before getting out of the carriage. Now, I don't know how much this man said was true, but I knew he was actully as old as he was, and he had Russian Newspapers on the 1913 Celebrations as well as other Imperial memrobelia (sp?).
