That means there is three brooches attributed to Minny then. The diamond & Sapphire hazagon brooch, the sapphire & pearl brooch and the snake sapphire brooch.
No it means that  Queen Mary only documented as having bought 2 brooches with sapphires...and the third ....the one you call the snake brooch....is mere speculation on whoevers part.

Field called this one "Queen Mary's bar brooch" HM inherit it in 1953. QM wore it also - I don't find a pic on web. Field also discribe it as a pearl, for me its more a cab. light blue sapphier.

Field called this tiara a property of MF. But I think it's the Russian Palmette (now with the Glochesters) and was made for QM in 1914. But may one of the sapphires (in the middle part of tiara) or the brooch is from MF

That choker was from the collection of Minny and now worn by Princess Anne. I don't now if it was given to her or lent to her. Princess Margaret was given much jewelry to own (so that they could be sold), not sure about those worn by HM's children or grandchildren.

Menkies does have a  picture of a snake bracelet, as worn by Queen Alexandra. There are no pictures of a snake brooch.

I think the sapphire snake brooch is also in that book. It was a b/w picture with a sapphire in the middle. It looks like Faberge.

I cannot find a pic of a snake brooch in mine either...and anyway Menkes book is full of inaccuracies as is Fields....perhaps Eric has a deluxe copy full of extra info!

I think the book has been revised. So there might be additions or taken outs.

The brooch is the one with the drop pearl from MF.
The tiara again you are right in saying belonged to Queen Mary before WW1 (it was comissioned by her) the sapphire centre only was bequeathed to Princess Margaret who wore it as a brooch...it was not sold by her children..it was not a snake design.
Fieldes did say it belonged to MF but as we know...she did not save any tiaras when she fled Russia.

Indeed. Minny never wore a tiara after WWI, even in family gatherings.
