Yeah they are cute though! When I was in high school I wore one of my Dad's old sailor jackets from when he was in the Navy. He was really skinny back then so it fit me perfectly! I got a lot of compliments on it. I like sailor uniforms, they're so cute! I also like those striped shirts that they wore underneath them.!

i agree. sailor suits are to cute! he looks so grown up!

Dressing Up

I didn't know if I should post this here or in the Having Fun forum. I decided here because even though it's a silly question, I'm asking it seriously. I read in a Romanov photo album book that Aleksey liked to dress in his sisters' night gowns and run around. I think that's so cute. :) Any truth to it?

Well, I don't know about that, but they did give him hand-me-down nightgowns,... but wasn't it more common to have a gown instead of pants for your pajamas for either gender? (I don't know about this, I'm asking)

In earlier centuries, both men and women had long nightgowns, but women alone had all the lace and frills. For men it generally looked like a long shirt. The standard two piece pajama set was in existance in this era though so I think men had the option. The two piece set did not become popular until the 1920's. Women meanwhile remained solely in nightgowns.

Good. That's what I thought, but I have learned (the hard way in my case) that if I spout off a wrong fact it can get confusing, so thanks etonexile! ;)

lol etonexile :D

Now I wanna know if he "paraded around" in his pajamas...I mean, it sounds like something a little kid would do...my younger brother proudly shows off his footie pajamas every winter.

yes my baby brother collin (2) parades in his PJ's. so did my other brother keenan (8) when he was little.

that just doesn't sound like a thing alexei would do.
