Anne had the good sense not to get that hairdo as well. Irene was a bit too old to be "Princess Leia"... :) :) :)

I don't know if this is the same day as the daughters of Anne are not dressed the same way : they don't wear dresses with straps on my photo.

In this picture, by far, she looks a bit like her sister Helen.

Amedeo's great-great-grandfather Vittorio Emanuele II and Isabella's great-grandfather Ferdinando were brothers!

Anna duchess d aosta and Prince Juan carlos of Spain. As you cans ee she had lots of problems walking and she needed a cane and some help to do it

Do you know what was the occasion ?

Behind Pss Anne and Pr. Juan Carlos one can see his mother the Countess of Barcelona.

And in the back of the picture it looks like the Duke of Braganza

Thank you

Come to think about it, that does look the archway at S. Pedro's church in S. Pedro de Sintra.

And Pss Claudia was a niece of both Pss. Anne and the Duke of Braganza.

I read many times that Queen Elena of Romania (Sitta) wanted the divorce to mary the duke of Aosta, too. Her sister  Irene was maried to one of them later. So wich was Sitta`s love? Because it`s a litlle strange.

Well, for what i know, Aimone (Irene s husband) was first linked to Ileana of Romania and later Infanta Beatrice of Spain.

About Amedeo, i read that he fell in love with Pss Maria Jose of Belgium (later queen of Spain) but he couldnt have a relationship with her since it was against his parents will (Vittorio Emmanuelle wanted her for his son Umberto ) and after a trip to heal his broken heart, he met Anne of France and fell in love with her.
