I like the horse!

Friedrich Sigismund was killed in a riding accident in, I think, 1926. What became of his widow and children?

His daughter Louise died in Castle Bückeburg(her mother was Princess von Schaumburg-Lippe) at the age of 91.She was also the last member of Prussian Royal family to be born under the reign of Emperor Wilhelm II...

It is also interesting that she is the last in line of female royal Princesses named Louise...here is her line from Queen Louise of Prussia:

Queen Louise of Prussia, born Princess von Mecklenburg-Strelitz 1776-1810
I
Princess Louise of Prussia, later Princess of the Netherlands 1808-1870
I
Princess Louise of the Netherlands,Queen of Sweden 1828-1871
I
Princess Louise of Sweden,Queen of Denmark 1851-1926
I
Princess Louise of Denmark, later Princess von Schaumburg-Lippe 1875-1906
I
Princess Marie Louise von Schaumburg-Lippe,later Princess of Prussia 1897-1938
I
Princess Louise of Prussia 1917-2009

Here is an article about her life:

Does anyone have more info about Princess Marie Luise of Prussia, née Princess to Schaumburg-Lippe, wife of Prince Friedrich Sigismund of Prussia? I'm especially looking for photos of the two.

Just some of the basics:

She was the daughter of Princess Louise of Denmark and thus the granddaughter of King Frederick VIII and Queen Louise (aka Aunt Swan). Her mother died while she was still a young girl officially of meningitis but there were rumors of suicide given that her marriage was an unhappy one. She had 2 siblings and 2 half-brothers by her father's 2nd marriage.

She was one of the string of Louise's going back to the famous Queen Louise of Prussia
her daughter Louise (1808-1870); who married Frederik of the Netherlands
her daughter Louise (1828-1871); who married Carl XV of Sweden
her daughter Louise (1851-1926); who married Frederick VIII of Denmark
her daughter Louise (1857-1906); who married Friedrich of Schaumburg-Lippe
her daughter Louise (1897-1938); who married Friedrich Sigismund of Prussia
her daughter Louise (1917-2009); who married Hans Reinhold (they later divorced)

Her brother was at one time engaged to Princess Irene of Greece but it was broken off.

Her husband was a renowned equestrian who died in a horseback-riding accident after a little more than a decade of marriage leaving ML with 2 small children. He was the nephew of Empress Augusta Victoria of Germany, the son of her sister Louise Sophie. The family often butted heads with the Imperial family.

Her daughter, another Louise, recently died, the last of the Louise Line.

The marriage was pretty low-key, occuring during WW1.

And here she is with her daughter Luise in 1918

Interesting that Friedrich Sigismund is wearing full dress even in wartime.

Manfred tried to get the Schloss Glienicke back in 1987 and 1989. He said, though his family sold it, they 'had to' and now he wants it back. Of course this was denied and this is good. We are a Republic, the Schloss is open for everyone and so is the riverside. I thought I must be wrong when I read about.

I really love the Schloss Glienicke, because when I was small nobody cared so much for it and I was in the castle yard; it was a hot day and there was nobody around, only a green lizard sat there beneatrh all that old stuff. Prinz Carl did collect egyptien statues and so on and this all stands there in that pittoresque and a little morbid place It was s if I was in a fairytale, will never forget that day.

My friend gave me a few years ago a book in which a chapter was about Glienicke and about the end of WWII: a Russian plundered the graves (as they used to do in that time) and stole the red jacket from the Prince's corpse. HE WORE IT WHILE WALKING THROUGH GLIENICKE! If this isn't nasty then I do not know.
An old woman broke down because after all the horror she had to stand in that days she thought the end of the times had come and the dead would walk on earth; she knew the prince when she was a young girl and thought he would be back on earth. This is a gruesome story in many points.
