Wonder who is the heir.

At present that would be HRH Princess Caroline.

Yesterday saw the first in a row of ceremonies at the Throne room of the Palace, the Prince was bestowed with the order of St.Charles.
Afterwards,Princess Caroline was the first to congratulate her brother, kissed him and curtseyd, then he was "crushed"by brother-in-law Ernst-August kissing him left, right, left holding him tight and finally Princess Stefanie kissed her brother warmly.

Oh my dear !  ;D Hope Albert wasn't crushed by his brother-in-law...I am glad Caroline will continue to be first lady. Grace would have been proud of her once rebellious daughter, now a respected princess.

Yes, Grace would be proud of Caroline, I am sure.

Sadly, I cannot say the same of the younger daughter...

After so many years that girl still cannot find contentment and settle down. What a waste of money, tiltle and position. She could might as well be born in a tailer...

Well, she did live in one for a while!

Now that brother Albert has ascended the throne, hopefully there may be more of a fulfilling role for Stephanie here. Whether she would like there to be or not, I wouldn't know, but some extra responsibilities, particularly as Albert is a single man, could be very good for her and help with her tarnished image.

Princess Grace must have drawn some long sighs on the behaviour of all of her children...too bad she stopped acting so soon....she was marvelous....

Yes, there have been problems with all three but I don't think Caroline and Albert's transgressions were ever anything approaching Stephanie's.  Stephanie was incredibly over-indulged as a child and has never grown up, in my opinion.

And, yes, Grace was good when she was an actress but she was much, much better as a princess!  :)

Stephanie was totally spoiled Grace herself once admitted. However she tried so hard for a third child after a few miscarriages that became over indulgent.

As for a public role for Stephanie...there was always one for her had she bothered to take it up. No I don't think she will especially after she recieved her father's rich inheritage. :(

All three of the Casiraghis have been blessed with fabulous looks, IMO, but each to their own of course.  ;)

Wonders if Albert isn't the biggest Royal "duffus" in Europe?...Used to think he was gay...But he seems to be able to father sprogs by various women....Can't he just pull his head out and marry some suitable lady?....sheesh.... ::)

Why? If he doesn't want to get married, he shouldn't have to.

In the "Royalty-Biz"...it isn't just about what one "wants"...there ARE certain responsibilities...whether one cares to acknowlege this or not...One is not just some rich play-boy or tawdry film star....

That is not fair. >:( Albert worked hard for Monarco ! If he wants Caroline's boy to succeed him, why not.
