After the 'murder' the bodies were thrown in a truck or bus. But the driver was drunk and a train keeper (an old women) helpt' him, she lookt' in the bus and found one living person, a girl.  The women (Maria) lived further as Alina (or Alena). Alina was very scared from people she didn't know, and if there were people on th door she didn't know, she locked herself up in her bedroom and was very scared. She was very scared to fore the KGB. Alina told the story of her rescue and the murder to her childer and grandchilderen, 20 years before Yurovski told his story. And it was the same. If you don't see on the photo's that Alina and Maria are the same you are very blind! Because look at her eyes. Harvard did say the scall was from Maria Romanov. Some people want that Alina's body are gonna to be buried with the Romanovs. And it is very sad toy don't believe the true story of Maria Romanov. because i know it, and more people know it!

Where have you got your information on Granny Alena? From the book by Mr Duval?  Or what other source do you have?

I was wondering the same...Do you know that I think that one of the girls escaped. But I don't understand WHY Robby it's so sure about Granny Alena identity. There was some forensic test in her remains? I don't know it, for I didn't read anything about it. I only saw a TV Show (very confusing, I must said) where they said that they performed a DNA test in her skull and another in her leg  and they have different results of them, what I found very odd. One of them (I think it was from her leg) didn't match, and the other was considered contaminated and not able to be tested. Am I right or am I allucinating? But maybe they did another proof on Alena's remains...I don't know.

Robby: don't be upset. Since I'm interested in all claimants, I will like to know all the info you have about Granny Alena. If she REALLY is Maria, I want to know it. Of course, Maria is very close in features to Granny Alena. I'm not blind.   But your story is the same I know from the TV Show about this particular claimant, and the fact she was scared when the police was around didn't make her Maria. Did she have childhood souvenirs that would do her this GD? Did she passed some graphologic or medical proofs, etc? (Since the DNA didn't match the Romanov's one for the tissues were contaminated? How many infos did you know about Granny Alena being Maria? I'm sincerely interested in this case.

I don't think Granny Alina's DNA was ever tested. I will check Duval's book and see what he says.

I just looked at the other thread.  Apparently the website designer for "A Princess in the Family" at one point made a long post.

Among the ridiculous and untrue things he said was that the sons and grandsons dna could not be tested because they don't have mitochondrial dna.......

Refusal to submit to dna testing leads quite quickly to the conclusion that this is a fraud case.

Well there was DNA testing but the bones were too bad, but the scall was the same that Maria had and the people that lead the investigation sayd: 'Scalls are unique, so no one can ever have the same scall (exept twins). And my info...I don't have it from Duvals book but from the documantairy 'In search fore a lost Princess'

Robby - the dna of her sons or grandsons is NOT contaminated.  They can submit to testing at any time.  They have not.

The excuse that "they are male so they don't have mitochondrial dna" is a lie and is merely an excuse not to submit to the testing.  EVERYONE has mitochondrial dna from their mothers.  Males can be tested and the dna of their mothers (in this case, it would be granny alina's dna) will be the result.

The woman, who, by the way, NEVER claimed to be one of hte Grand Duchesses, is a fraud.
