This is a great map! Just one question though.... what is the Reserved Palace which is on Pavlovskoe shoose? Is it a place where guests would stay when there was a big ball? Or maybe a palace for some other Russian noble family? Or is it not even a palace in which we commonly refer it as, but as some headquarters of some sort?

The Reserve Palace is the same thing as the Vladimir/Vladimirsky Palace. You can actually find some information about it and a fuller history on this site in the text about Tsarskoe in 1910 (www.alexanderpalace.org/tsarskoe)

Thanks for posting the map.  Very handy.

Below and slightly left of the big "Alexander's park" is a small building simply marked "chapel".

I visited 10 years ago and recall a very tall tower like structure under repair.  I believe this was it.

Does anyone have info or pictures on this structure?

Thanks.  After reading some other posts, I'm wondering if I was thinking of the White Tower.  Structurally, it's much more like the tower I picture in mind.  However, I'm nearly certain it wasn't white when I was there.  Does anyone know if it would have been red brick colored before restoration?
