Arguing With Tatiana

I read in a Romanov book, can't remember which one, that Olga and Tatiana would argue over who was the prettiest. (Please don't turn this into another "who was prettier" thread) I have a hard time believing Olga and Tatiana would argue over something like this. What do you think?

I've never read that. I'm sure if Alix ever came across it, she would have put a stop to it.

I've never read this either.  And I agree with Dianoshka that Alix would've put a stop to it immediately.  I have always read that the "big pair" were on the very best of terms and were wonderful sisters.

Isn't it funny that the younger girl from both pairs - Big pair (Tatiana) and Little pair (Anastasia) were dominating? Pierre Gilliard wrote about O&T:
"Through her good looks and her art of self-assertion she (Tatiana) put her sister (Olga) in the shade in public, as the latter, thoughtless about herself, seemed to take a back seat. Yet the two sisters were passionately devoted to each other." The same could have been said of Maria and Anastasia, although Maria was the good-hearted, pretty one, and Anastasia the tomboy of the family.

Well, all siblings have arguements once and a while, usually over something stupid.  They might have had this particular arguement maybe once, but given their closeness, I doubt it was a regular habit like rumour suggests.

I was mad at the 'olga was a snob' part of that website too. None of the grand duchesses were snobby.

I read that somewhere. About them fighting about who was prettier, but they made it sound more like a "bored sisters half bickering half joking" kind of a thing. The only time I herd it as "fighting" was on an Anastasia website I think, it's har to remember now.  :-/

What site are you talking about? I found one that said Olga was a snob, Tatiana was obsessed with her rank as a grand duchess, Maria cried all the time, and Anastasia hated OTM and only liked Aleksey. I seriously wondered if it was a joke.

I don't remember the name of the site, it was months ago. But it was so funny because it had the wrong birthdates for everyone, and mislabeled(sp?) pics. At least it had the right year everyone was born.
