I'm assuming this means Olga Alexandrovna right? But wasn't Anastasia the last Grand Duchess to be born? When people call Olga the last grand duchess, I assume it means she must have been the last one alive?

Grand Duchess Ol'ga Alexandrovna was the last Grand Duchess of Russia who remained alive. She died in 1960 in Toronto, Canada.

I want to move to Austrailia by tomorrow!!    :-\

When I saw ABC, I thought (because I live in the US) that it was the American Broadcasting Corporation.  I followed the link to find out that it is the Austrailian Broadcasting Corporation.

Since flight time from the east coast of the US is quite a bit longer than 10 hours, I guess I'll have to wait for the summer reruns :o

Hope that some of you can tape it and perhaps put some pictures on here.   :D

What time are you all arriving so I can dust out the spare bedroom?  :D

We hardly get any royal docos here, especially on free-to-air T.V. so don't be too envious!  I find it hard to believe this programme on Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna is having its world premiere here though as it would not be a local production.  ???

I'll try to record it as 9.30 p.m. is usually the time I fall asleep on the couch... :-[ ::)

I just caught the end :( :( :(  ... I came in from a run and was watching the footy show, then I flicked over to channel two and saw GD Olga, by the looks of the doco (i saw the last five minutes) it was a decent attempt... im so sad I missed it - someone tell me it was horrible so I dont feel I've missed out.

Dont worry.  It was pretty good. Actually my grandmother who isnt a history buff enjoyed it.  One thing I didnt like was the music. It really didnt seem to be like Olga.   Actually I think I have fallen in love with Olga.  Although one thing makes me curious why she never painted Nicky or OTMAA.

I actually noticed the voice over mention her nieces yet they forgot Alexei. Oh well.

Did Olga paint portraits?

I thought she mostly did water colors of nature and that she really began to come into her own after she moved to Canada.

Grace - I missed the connecting flight from LA  ::)  ::)  ::) (I wish).  Perhaps next time.   ;D

I wonder if this is the same program that was produced by History Channel Canada (and seen in Canada).  Neither the main History Channel nor History channel Intl acquired it.
