You looked at a different site ..Enhance TV which sells ABC programs for education purposes.  This is separate from a commercial dvd sold in stores.

I wrote about this last week.

.
I just visited the Australian ABC site again  :(  and it appears that unless we live in Australia and are an "Australian Premium Member" with certain rights, we can not get a copy of this program.   :(

Marlene:

Thanks for the info :).  I knew that you had posted a link, but someone else had said that they thought that, because of the demand for the show, ABC had changed its policies (at least that's what I thought I read).  So I went back to the link (revisited it so to speak) and found that nothing had changed. :(

Alixz> It seems that the documentary may be available through Dymocks. Although there isn't anything listed on their website. You could email them if you wanted ( service@dymocks.com.au )

Hi rosieposie

The documentary series A Royal Family a 6 part series on Denmark's Royal Family- the last episode was on SBS TV last night is available through the SBS section of Dymocks book store, George Street, Sydney
I missed some of the early episodes, what I have seen is interesting, especially on the Romanov connection to the Danish monarchy, one episode is about Empress Marie Feodorovna.
The Alexander Palace was included in the credits of last nights episode.
Regards
Opal  ;)

Laura,

I thought that Imperial Opal meant that the Royal Family a six part series of Denmark's Royal Family was available through Dymocks.   :)

Did she mean to include the Australian DVD in that as well, or was she saying that ABC had it for $40 (which they do)  because that is where they also want an Australian Premier Membership with certain rights to buy it.

I called in at Dymock's city store this morning and enquired about the Olga DVD.  They do not have it on order at this time (the very helpful lady knew nothing about it) but she is going to contact their distributor on Monday and will let me know then.  I will post (if no one finds out anything further in the meantime).

Due to popular demand of the show, Dymocks told me today they are taking orders for the DVD, new stock will arrive in 2 weeks, same with the ABC stores. cost $40
Regards
Opal

I wonder where IO got this info from?

I would love to be wrong here, but the Dymocks store I went to (234 Collins St, Melbourne - one of Australia's biggest) has no knowledge of the Olga: The Last Grand Duchess documentary at all and say their distributors/suppliers know nothing of it either.  ??? :(  I might contact an ABC shop (who have many programmes on DVD that have been shown on the ABC).  I will see what they say...

 Hi Grace
Sorry,
I was discussing the series -  A Royal Family is available at Dymocks stores to order, not the Olga documentary

Whoops.  :-[  Sorry about the confusion everyone.  Guess I'll have to take a little more time and concentration when I read posts from now on.

Apologies to all concerned.  :)

Instead of relying on Dymocks why not enquire at the ABC store or contact the ABC organization itself? They are usually very obliging.  ;D

I emailed WGBH in Boston and asked if they would be selling copies of this program.  Unfortunately, they are not at this time.

We don't always get WGBH, I guess it depends on other local channels that share the same cable slot.   :'(
