First World War - rare film of Nicholas II
« on: July 12, 2004, 08:35:26 PM »
Here in Canada on TVO on Monday at 7;00 pm is a 10 part series "First World War".  The first episode tonight had rare film of Nicholas II that I had never seen before and scenes of St. Petersburg. This appears to be a new series with filming of many locations today interwoven with archival photos and film. Of the 10 episodes I am hoping that there must be more of Russia! I was stunned with the archival film footage of Emperor Franz Joseph at the wedding of Karl and Zita which I had only before seen a few seconds of! And of Archduke Ferdinand's funeral and of his estate today.

I would love to see it but I'm not in Canada. Please let us know how we can get a copy if possible!
