We DO have to work to find fotos of Alexei smiling, due that
he may have been self-cognisant of his teeth.
He did not have a malocclusion [overbite], but he did need some basic professional dental care, and as we all know, even a routine teeth-scaling [dental talk for teeth-cleaning] could have spelled disaster for him. To clean teeth properly at the sub-cutaneous level [beneath the gumline] one may draw a small amount of blood IF the person's teeth are in dire need of cleaning. And Alexei's gums were delicate, no doubt. He would have needed modern clotting meds to pre-cede any dental work which he would have needed. Drinking tea did not help in the WHITE-ness area . . . but it is quite forgivable. Why? I am enjoying a nice cuppa tea from YORKSHIRE England. Mmmm!!
Despite the BORING content of what i have just said, let me add that he DID have a wonderful smile and if Alexei had lived without hemophilia / a plastic anemia, then you would have seen him in a LOT more fotos bearing his winsome smile. I can tell that he would have been a heart-stopper for sure. ^_^
May i add that the Bolshevikii destroyed about 95% of all their fotos. From my research, NAOTMAA went through about 6,000 rolls of Kodak film. (I don't think a school of Lobsters could have "SNAPPED" as much!) Only about 5% of that HEFTY volume of snaps are still extant. There were VERY probably wonderful fotos of Alexei and other members of NAOTMAA that were FAR and away more excellent than the ones we have. We only have the leftovers, from what i gather in my research. Harvard, Yale and MOCKBA Archives have what mostly is left.
I am open for correction and I state the above statements as merely tentatively true . . . VERY open to correction from sound researchers within this field of interest.
