Dearest Claimants:

Yes, it's true, some years ago whilst Tsar Doug was undergoing surgery, my fabulous Faberge necklace did go missing. But T.D., I didn't loose my diamonds . . . that was Theo's Middle Eastern extravaganza that was lodged in your stomach. I hope the miniature scimitars didn't cause you any undue pain.

Now, as for the red M & Ms . . . they are in fact highly medicinal and loaded with nutrients. Those little Vicodan tablets, GD Melissa? Heavens, you didn't need them!

I am happy to announce, however, that contrary to the majority of Tsarkoe folks who donned nursing uniforms, I did pass my exams. My examiner, in fact, was a very handsome doctor who admired my multiple choices. So after considerable testing, I matriculated, and have since been allowed to re-don my nurse's uniform.

Wishing GD Melissa much luck with Barones Von Crankypants Senior, I remain

Dearest GD/GP Janet:

Yes, we all read in the newspapers that you passed your  exam but please do not burden the courtiers with a retelling of your naughty adventures with that doctor that admired you in many places.  You then  included the fact that you 'matriculated' with him after he had 'tested you'.

All of this is just a little too much for our local Tsarskoe News
Dispatch.

Tsar Doug....trying to keep this website as clean as possible.

Why Tsar Doug! The very idea! :-X

I would never, EVER wish to burden the courtiers. I merely stated that I passed my exams and continue to be a certified (or is that certifiable?  ??? ) nurse.

After all, I am the very model of a modest claimant GD/GP!  ;)

Goodness. Some people are sooooo sensitive these days.

The treading lightly, innocent-as-a-lamb

GD/GP Janet  :-*

P.S.  Or as Eliza Doolittle might say, "Owww, o'im a good girl, I am!"

P.P.S. Now, repeat after me, GD Ritka: "The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain." And, "In Hartford, Hereford and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly ever happen."   8)

Darling Natasha,

Forgive me, dear, in not immediately answering your question about my surgical patient who was the unwitting recipient of a pair of scissors I so clumsily left behind. Suffice it to say that while most of my patients rarely understand the importance of an excellent surgical nurse such as moi, this one really got the point.

;D

They should look on it as a privilege to have such a pointed reminder of their brush with Royalty!

I hope everyone will pardon my long silence. I fell into a great depression after finding out what I thought may have been Faberge was really a pantyhose egg. Still, I am feeling better now, though still fragile. My dear Ritka, I hope you can enunciate "How now brown cow" naicely. The rain in Spain may indeed fall mainy on the plain, but there's certainly been a lot of it around here, not to mention Louisiana, Texas etc. We should give a charity ball to help all those poor people.

Speaking of brushes with royalty, I am reminded of the time I was asked to paint a pre-surgical dotted line on Tsar Doug.  Instead I got rather carried away, and . . . okay, I admit it, reproduced Picasso's Guernica. Then, during surgery, those clenched fists, not to mention the moaning bull, distracted the surgeons and yours truly so much that . . . well, my medium sized camel hair brush went missing.  :'(

Yep, you guessed it. What's more, it was the two-humped camel hair brush. :-/

I had the same kind of depression some years ago, when I find out that my best diamond ring was really a piece of cheap strass.  :'(

May I rejoin your charity ball? We may eat caviar and drink champagne, and with the money we would do in it, we may purchase some cheap meals to give to the poors.

Dear Fellow Claimants:

I hope you will join me in congratulating our darling Ritka, a.k.a., My Fair Lady!  :D  :D  :D

What a tremendous honor! And how wonderful that one of our very own has won the right to play a cockney flower girl--or, as 'enry 'iggens puts it, a "squashed cabbage leaf."  ::) We imperial claimants do like to go slumming, do we not?!

MY DEAR DEAR DEARIES,

GD Anna is back in our enchanted world. I'm not in the possition to talk much, which will be a relieve for some of you, because sitting at my desk isn't very comfortable at the moment.

I only want to inform the family, surgery went well and I can walk a bit with the assistence of that nice cossack who held my hand all the time I was in Never- Neverland.

THANKS FOR ALL THE CHOCOLATE, CARDS, FLOWERS AND LOVELY WORDS.

GD Janet for her red M&M's they really eased the pain and GD Melissa for her rice-pudding -how did you know this is my favorite dessert?

When I'm doing better I will talk your ears of your heads.

:-* :-* :-* to all,

Anna 8)

PS- Thanks for taking care of Tsar D.

Dearest Ritka,
Congratulations!  That's wonderful! I am certain they couldn't have picked a better Eliza Doolittle.  Wear the tiara proudly, and think of how ironic it is that you get to wear it in a play, considering who you really are.   ;)

Ah, Grand Duchess Anna, do rest comfortably.  We'll keep an eye on the Tsar for you.  I hear that Grand Duchess Janet has been taking splendid care of you.

Seems like a great day!
Fondly,
Tashenka

Thanks so much Tasha and Janet! I'll post pictures of me in a ballgown and tiara in a couple months- first rehearsal is tomorrow!!!!

(btw- I'll probably be online a LOT less now that I have two huge shows and am the lead in one- usually freshmen don't get the lead- seniors do and they have more free periods- so I'll obey Tsar Doug and do my schoolwork...)

Ritka

PS: I just have to add that this is post 1234, I think that's hilariously funny *watches as everyone stares and wonders whether to laugh or groan*

Anna dear,

So glad that you are doing well, and must say when I popped in to visit you this morning, I was delighted to find you daintily eating your breakfast off Limoge and that very nice Cossack pouring your tea. GD Janet looks a little worse for wear from her tireless nursing duties on your behalf. What a sterling example of selfless devotion she is to you, as well as the dishy Cossack.

Tonight is the Baron's Thursday Poker Night, so Tsar Doug will be happily playing poker, eating coldcuts and smoking cigars with the rest of the Tsarkoe Selo Pokerboys.

You must plan to be up and around for Ritka's theatrical debut. She of course got the role because of her inborn and unmistakable Claimant Royalness. It is true, the Royal is different...something in her air, her deportment, her very being...the hard part for her was convincing the theatrical people that she could play a squashed cabbage leaf!

As you can imagine, my dear Belle Mere vonCrankypants, AKA The MotherInLaw, is driving me to distraction. Only three days, six hours and four minutes until she departs. She could, as they say, fly home. And not need a plane ticket, if you get my drift. Oh well, one must be grateful that she lives in another time zone and only visits twice a year.

Caio for now dearie, GD Melissa & the dear doggies

Congratulations, Ritka! You must be very pleased. And certainly you deserves it, since you worked so hard studying as our blessed Tsar commanded you to do.
