I have a friend in Mexico City, named Nicolás Luis Romanov-yussupov. I´m not updated with the Yussupovs and Scheremeteffs, but I suppose that my friend in some way is related with them. I have very carefully asked him long ago, but I got some diffuse answers and will ask him more about this if it can be of help

How old is this great great grand daughter of Felix and Irina? Do you know?

Marilia was born 7-7-2004 and Yasmine-Xenia on 15-5-2006. I hope that clears the confusion.

Dear Steph,

your "facts" are all wrong, sorry to say...

Mariia Vamvakidi was born 7-7-2004 and Yasmine-Xenia Vamvakidi 17-5-2006

Tatiana was divorced and remarried Tony Vamvakidi 2003

;)Hello dear Valmont,

Here I have the following facts:

Prince Felix was married to Princess Irina of Russia, this you all know, and they had only one daughter : Irina Youssoupova, called Bebe (1915-1983).

Bebe married count Nicolas Cheremeteff in 1938 and they also had but one daughter : Countess Xenia Cheremeteff (born in 1942).

Countess Xenia married in 1965 Ilias Styris (born in 1932) and they had a daughter : Tatiana Styris (born in 1968).

Tatiana Styris married in 1996 Alexis Giamakoupoulos (born in 1963) and here we are. They have a daughter called Marilia, certainly born in 1997 (I suppose) and who must be 8 years old. I will try to find out if she has little brothers or sisters.

Besides, I will precise that the picture represents not Bebe but Countess Xenia with her little grand daughter Marilia. I recieved the book yesterday (French version of Lost splendor, called Prince Félix Youssoupov : Mémoires, last edition 2005) and there is this picture that I will try to scan. Wish I were more learned in the art of the computer, but I will try anyway!

Love to all

Steph

Hello Steph,

all this info is wrong!

Better do your homework before lightly posting false info.

Hello,

I have not the pretention to be an expert of this prestigious family but please try to buy the book on amazon.fr (Félix Youssoupov : Mémoires, éditions du Rocher)  and you will find this picture with the following legend:  Xenia Cheremeteff Sfiri (and it is written Sfiri) avec sa petite-fille Marilia, arrière-arrière-petite-fille de Félix Youssoupov (which means: Xenia Cheremeteff Sfiri and her grand daughter Marilia, great great grand daughter of Felix Yussupov.)

What interest would I have in lying?  I was just pleased to tell you all that the line is yet not broken and I wanted to share this joy with you. That's all. It can so easily be proved. Why should I ly ?

It is no fair insulting someone before knowing the truth.

Love to all,

Steph

It is no fair of spreading libel either before knowing something for a fact....

Steph: You are a bit misinformed about the family of Madame Xenia Sfiris, who among other things, attended the burial of Emperor Nicholas II in 1998 and provided the sample of mt DNA which helped to positively identify HIM.

You are correct that Xenia Sfiris had only one child, Tatiana Sfiris. Tatiana married twice. Her first marriage to Alexei Giannakoupoulos (I hope I got this name right) had no issue. So there is no such person as Marila Giannakoupoulos!

Tatiana's second marriage appears to be happier, in that she and her husband Anthony (Tony) Vamvakidis, are the proud parents of two lovely daughters, Marila and Yasmine Xenia Vamvakidis. I hope these two grow up to be healthy and happy. They will carry, however, the identical mt DNA as their collateral ancestor, the Tsar Nicholas II, unless it has mutated.

How do I know this? I am acquainted with their father, Tony, a very nice gentleman who understandably does not want his two beauties publically misidentified, at least in case of the first, Marila, as daughters of another man. This one's for you, Tony, and please pass on our best wishes from the Alexander Palace Forum to you and Tatiana and your girls. And if you wish to keep them private and not share photos, we will absolutely respect that.

Also, please do notice that the posts in question were put up a full decade ago, and only now just brought to our attention.

Tatiana Tony Marilia and Yasmine all live in Europe between South of France and the Greek Islands.
