It usually happens with older husbands and younger wives. I think the Braganza sisters were popular...period.  ;D

The picture is from an old hungarian newspaper called "Vasárnapi Újság". (1889)

Yes, she had features in face like her father. But Karl Ludwig was not so thin. :)

Are there any pictures of Archduchess Margarethe? I only saw paintings of her. She died in 1858  and by this time I guess there are already pictures taken from Empress Elisabeth and of Charlotte, later Empress of Mexico.

Seems only paintings are not lost. I've not seen any photo of her.

IMO Elisabeth looks a lot like Archduchess Gisela, daughter of Sisi...
They were cousins after all.

Elisabeth was prettier than her cousin Gisela. I think neither of Sissi's daughters inherited her mother beauty and elegance.

True. But this is the same case, I think. Elisabeth and Maria Annunciata were pretty, but none of them inherited beauty of their mother, Maria Teresa Braganca...
