In 1970 the Imperial Crypt in Buda where the Hungarian Habsburgs are buried was sacked and their coffins opened.

http://mek.niif.hu/01500/01599/html/index.htm

The link I send you has many pictures of this + some pictures and paintings of Joseph's family, among them a new one of his daughter Archduchess Klothilde. On another picture you can clearly see the shape of Princess Clotilde's nose.

I forgot to say, to see those pictures you have to click on ''Képek'' (means photo in Hungarian I think).

At the end of this page you can see a telegram (from 1867) either written by Metternich or addressed to him, but can't find the link between this and the sacked crypt. It says (in French):

''The Emperor wants you to go to Mentone and thank Emperor Napoléon (III) for his gracious measure (??)''.

It seems that the site contains lots of information on the family, but unfortunately I do not speak Hungarian. Could someone sum up what it says?

Augusta in 1950, at the wedding of Fernanda von Thurn und Taxis with Franz Joseph von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen
Augusta and her husband lived in St. Emmeram. Her sister-in-law gave her a home, after the war.

Her dignity was still in tact.

That uniform isn't as the ones I've seen before. Did she serve as nurse at WWI?

Archduchess Klothilde.

So pity that in black/white. I love the Hungarian dress.

Is there any more info on Auguste's daughter Magdalena Maria? I only got some info from peerage.com:

Magdalena Maria Raineria Erzherzogin von Österreich was born on 6 September 1909 at Kis-Tapolcsány, Hungary.1 She was the daughter of Joseph August Viktor Klemens Maria Erzherzog von Österreich and Auguste Maria Louise Prinzessin von Bayern.1 She died on 11 May 2000 at age 90.
Magdalena Maria Raineria Erzherzogin von Österreich was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.3 She gained the title of Erzherzogin von Österreich (styled as HI&RH Archduchess of Austria).1 She lived in 1977 at Adalbertstrasse 82, Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

And does anyone have more pictures of her?

Portrait of Augusta, 1910 year.

A painter eventually wanted to make  her look austere and regal. IMHO the portrait is flattering but doesn't make Augusta look better than in real life.

Portrait of Archduchess Magdalena, youngest daughter of Augusta

She looks very much like her mother.
