Leopold was rumored to have several illegitimate children, two of whom were supposedly born during his marriage to Astrid. A third, a daughter of Belgian ice skater Liselotte Landbeck, was born a few years after Astrid's death.
Belgian count Michel Didischeim is also rumored to be Leopold's child. Michel resembled Leopold somewhat and also worked for many years as a private secretary for Albert II. Michel himself denies any relation to Leopold.
