As 2005 is the year of the Silver Jubilee of HM,many initiatives unfold. One being the Silverrail,The Royal Party Express,a special train for youngsters consists of 9 wagons each with its own theme, like writing a script, discovering and being discovered, music, sportclinincs, human rights, education and work.

The Zilverrail travels thoughout the country and stops at 25 cities, villages or other sorts of human dwellings.
Youth between 15 and 20 can ride on the train for free during the fall-holiday from oct.17th and oct.27th
and participate in all activities on the train, the platforms and stations.

HRH Princess Máxima will travel the first leg on the train this coming monday the 17th,from Utrecht to Eindhoven. She will travel in the "Track to the future" wagon,to exchange views with huys and gals on thie future, study etc. and in "The Scream"she'll talk to youth who have ideas for changes in thier municipalities, and in "The DreaM"she meets kids thinking about and playing in a soap.

HM Queen Beatrix will conclude the whole spectacle on the 27th in Delft,HM will visit "The Olympic Experience"wagon and talk with Olympic champions and the young and talented, and she will visit the "Peace of mind"wagon,by Warchild.

HM office being Noordeinde Palace, has created a bond between "the Palace"and the wonderfull "neighbourhood".

On occasion of the Silver Jubilee the neighbours invited HM to choose three works of Art(sculptures,in this case) as a gift to her from all Her neighbours, galleries, shopkeepers, restaurants&pubs in the Noordeinde area.

This monday the 17th HM will receive the gift.

On occasion of the forthcoming State Visit by President Putin of Russia, there's proof of how much things have changed in the Russian official views of history, and obviously, are proud of its connection with the House of Orange, this is from the website of the Russian Embassy,The Hague,

They seem to be such nice people :) But why are they going to visit Friesland, of all places ::) now I can't see them.
But they're also going to visit Amsterdam, so maybe Lucien, you could take photos of them, as a special Alexander Palace-reporter? ;D

They could go on a boat tour, on the 'grachten' of Amsterdam.
But what are diary farms ;D
Now, if you take a big sign with you, with 'AP Press' on it, maybe you'll be on TV on the news or something (or on Blauw Bloed: my Orange moment ;D)

Oops,see I swapped poems with cattle. :o   ;)

You don't understand I'm not going on Blauw Bloeds Oranje moment?I think taking a picture is hardly the sort of Oranje moment they would use,and besides,I'm not that good at it or the camera has a mind of its own.Last time I took pictures was during the State Visit of the Emperor and Empress of Japan.Hundreds of Japanese living in the Netherlands on Dam Square, and I thought I had a great view of the ceremony as they are "slightly"smaller than I am with my 6 foot +,came the moment to really get a nice pic they jumped, waved both hands or raised their babies...... :-/
