I'm glad to know I'm not just posting duplicates of pictures posted elsewhere on this site. The site is so comprehensive, so many wonderful pictures have been posted, it's hard to keep track of them all!

Do you know if there is a thread somewhere for photos of Xenia? I can't seem to find one and my computer keeps freezing everytime I try to use the search engine. I have a few photos of her I'd like to post.

Oh, by the way, the photos I posted earlier are supposed to have come from the private albums of Xenia's son Prince Feodor. I have no idea who has them know (probably his children). They were published in France.

Jacques Ferrand's "Romanovs Fragments de Vie." I believe it was published privately in Paris in 1998. I managed to purchase a copy online five or six years ago. Don't ask me where because I honestly can't remember. These photos were taken from Prince Feodor Alexandrovich's private album that he kept as a young man. There are so many beautiful photos of Ai Tudor, his relatives, even of the HMS Marlborough waiting to take them into exile.

Feodor/Theodore. Ai Tudor, 1915. Is it just me, or does he look a bit like a young Orson Welles in this photograph.

Maybe, but he looks a LOT like a young Alexander III.

B.t.w. I think he was a very handsome man and the best looking of Xenia's boys.

I love all those formal photos of them that Jelisaveta posted. All the formal photos of the Romanovs are great in my opinion, although that is their public image, and not their private self, like the snapshots from their own albums. In these formal photos, young Irina's looks remind me of her cousins otma.
