I posted this on another thread, but it seems appropriate to have it here on a page devoted to Sandro & Xenia's children.

Irina at age 75:

Lovely pictures.

I agree, Irina looks a lot like Tatiana, especially when they were younger, with their hair down... as they grew up however, I think Tatiana was simple stunning

Well, in adulthood, I think you are right that Tatiana was the prettier of the two. But both had much the same looks, and with one dying so young, it is rather hard to tell. Tatiana's looks were less ''mannish'' and more elegant than those of Irina, at least as the two got older. There is a certain look of beauty that you see in Tatiana's later photos that you never see in those of Irina.

Little Princess Irina Alexandrovna sitting on a bench with a doll on her knees.
The other child is probably Princess Margreth of Denmark, daughter of Prince
Valdemar and Marie of Orléans.

It's certainly a rare photo, isn't it? I enjoyed seeing it. Does anyone know if Xenia was closer to her sons or to her only daughter? I'm just curious and don't think the question has been raised before.

On alt.talk.royalty, several posters have reported that Prince Nikita of Russia died on May 3rd. It was supposedly reported in the New York Times. However, I could find no mention of this online. If true, he would have been 84 years old next Sunday. I am trying to find some actual corroboration.

I believe there are still five surviving Romanov princes from the 1920's - Prince Roman's sons Nicholas and Dmitri - Prince Andrei's sons Michael and Andrei - and Prince Theodore's son, Michael. The next surviving male would be Prince Andrei Andreivich's son - born in the 1950's!

How odd, I am unable to find any details in the New York Times obituary section. Nothing comes up in their search option either.

It is possible that this news is a little premature.

That's why I said "reported" and it would be great if this were a "Mark Twain" type of situation!

are some of these men Sandro's sons?

The seven Romanov Princes in Paris, June 1992
Left to right: Dimitri, Michael, Alexander, Nicholas, Rostislav, Andrew and Nikita

and could you say me the dates of birth and death of all of Sandro's children?
and do you have, maybe, any sites about them? or any information?
