Thank you, Lucien. I love the tiara Queen Fabiola is wearing in the second link you posted - I think tiaras made in a sort of flower like design are beautiful. . .

Once again we owe you thanks, Lucien. Queen Beatrix's sapphire brooch is wonderful.

It's such a shame that Queen Anna's jewels are not displayed more . . . their historical worth alone must be huge, and the Romanovs always had wonderful jewels.

Prince_Lieven,I have to add a "slight" correction.During the time that Anna's spouse was still Prince of Orange and they lived in Brussels part of the year,as the whole Court did, jewellery was "stolen".The circumstances have never been cleared upto this present day. Many rumoured her husband was behind the disappearance of a large part of the collection,to pay off his debts, but there was no prove for that accusation.

After that happened,Anna wrote a letter to her dear mama, simply requesting new stones to be send to her,as happened.Indeed, the Romanovs had bucket loads of it.There are still many stones, coming from parures that have been broken up over the ages or have never been "used" still.Really, the British Crown Jewels are famous,as are those of the Danish Royal House, but the House of Orange can easily stand up next to them.

One of these stones, allthough not related to Anna,is the Stuart Diamond, once adorned the Crown parure during Queen Emma's and Queen Wilhelmina's reigns, but not seen since over 40 years.Such a darn pity,it's not just a stone,it's a rock.Same for the 163 carat saphire of the Family, hardly ever on show if ever.Maybe,in due time Princess Máxima will put it to use again once Queen.

Why is it called the Stuart Diamond? Any connection to either of the Mary Stuarts who were Princesses of Orange in the 17th century?

Great pics. The 'Bandeau' tiara is beautiful, isn't it?

Adding some more Dutch Royal Jewelry, the Royals during the State Visit earlyer this year,by HE The Governor-General of Canada,Mrs.Adreinne Clarkson and her husband.

To Prince_Lieven,the tiara HM is wearing(a bit of a flower motieve) is the same she wore on the day of her Inthronisation on april 30th 1980,the base, added with diamond stars was the wedding tiara of HRH Princess Máxima.Princess Margriet is wearing parts of the emerald parure and Princess Máxima ofcourse, the grand rose cut diamond bandeau.

I wish I had more to show from Lux., but I only have two. Here's the other one:
The Chaumet tiara from Luxembourg. I've never seen a pic of anyone wearing it, except for a postage stamp of GD Charlotte. It's a lovely piece... simple yet bold... my kind of tiara.

You're absolutely right Prince_Lieven,it was a saphire parure, gift from the people of The Netherlands on occasion of her wedding in 1901,but unfortunately, the parure was broken up after her death :-/,each granddaughter got a piece, and we still see HM and Princess Margriet wearing parts of it as brooches.

It absolutely was a grand stunning parure, but only equalled with a stunning headache,as it was very heavy...
