(the first pic shows the Peacock Ruby Parure, never worn these days, just collecting dust, what a pity,IMHO.)

The daughters-in-law of HM Queen Beatrix

HRH Princess Máxima
http://www.angelfire.com/de3/verenasroyaltiaras/Maxima.html

(don't mind the captions, they are incorrect as the first pic was taken during the State Visit by TTMM The King and Queen of Spain prior to the wedding)

(and the dress Máxima wears on the last pic is the same one worn at the pre wedding Gala Ball,Royal Palace Amsterdam)

HRH Princess Laurentien
http://www.angelfire.com/de3/verenasroyaltiaras/Laurentien.html

note:again don;t mind the captions, they're incorrect again...the Laurel Wreath tiara is not Princess Margriets personal property,it is part of the Family Foundation of the Orange Nassau Historical Collection, founded by HM Queen Juliana in order to keep,in this case, the Jewellery Collection intact, and not dispersed like happened in fe Belgium.

All  the jewellery parures/suites,demi-parures and grand jewelry is part of the Foundation, according to it's statute, all the afore mentioned is aimed at upholding the prestige of the Bearer of the Crown and his/her House.

Queen Juliana provided for similar Foundations for the Art Collection,Furniture,gold-silver-chrystal,you name it,just everything. All will remain intact.A very wise decision of the late Queen.

Thank you for the AMAZING links you provided.   :)

I have to agree with you utterly and completely about the peacock parure.  It's so hard to find pictures of it being worn, and those are only in B+W.  It's a terrible shame.  If you know of any pics of this parure in colour, please please please post.  I have repeatedly done searches on these jewels and come up empty.   :'(

Emeraldeyes, ofcourse I will post them as soon as they appear,it's just that that will take a long time, nor HM,her daughters-in-law,nor her sister Margriet wears it,or is ever seen wearing the Peacock Ruby parure. The only colour pic I know of is the one provided in the link under the pic in B&W.

I know for sure that the parure still exist and is intact,we just have to wait till Máxima gets "struck"by it,and wears it with her next Valentino ::)...

meanwhile,this link is for you:

Emeraldeyes,I "ran into"this beautifull portrait of Queen Beatrix wearing a brooche, braceletts and earrings from what I believe to be parts of the Peacock Ruby parure.

I wish I had more to show from Lux., but I only have two. Here's the other one:
The Chaumet tiara from Luxembourg. I've never seen a pic of anyone wearing it, except for a postage stamp of GD Charlotte. It's a lovely piece... simple yet bold... my kind of tiara.

Now that I'm back in the land of the living (ie with a cable modem) I can post photos again.  :)

here you go:

Grandduchessella, wouldn't you agree that this tiara, worn by HRH Princess Máxima of The Netherlands looks very much like the diamond and pearl tiara you've posted in the Norwegian Royal Jewels thread? It's not the same one ofcourse....... : ;),regards,Lucien.

It is similar, isn't it? The front being a less ornate but similar shape.

Thank you Lucien for that amazing link.  What a comprehensive site!  For some reason, I always thought that the Dutch jewels were rather limited, but now I see I am mistaken!  There are some truly woderful pieces in the collection, and I am intrigued to see if Maxima has any other pieces she is going to 'renovate'.

Nerdycool, you are most welcome for the Chaumet pic.  I am always willing to encourage a love of all things glittery!
