Very true, bluetoria. She put off signing Mary's death warrant for 19 years, and when she finally did she blamed it on a clerical error. I don't think she ever mentioned Mary again.

I think Elizabeth hadn't a clean conscience after Mary's execution. She had wanted her death for years, just my opinion, and when she finally reached the precise moment she did it, only to regret the step she took!
