Jump starting restoration using Windsor
« on: July 04, 2004, 06:39:24 PM »
It would seem more likely to restore monarch using a Windsor-Edward or Prince Michael of Kent's son. One of the surviving Romanovs is a beautiful woman in her late 20's  who could marry Prince Michael's son. Maria and George, god bless them have done their best but the last best hope lies in the next two years before Russia reverts once again to a Soviet state. Any idea on this?

Did I miss something???? Where do we get this two year timeline for the restoration of a Soviet State. I don't feel from talking to my friends in Russia that there will ever be a restoration of the Soviet State as we once knew it. The Russians have come too far to turnn back now. As to the Laws of Succession are quite clear.

I was also wondering where the time limit came from. Is that the next time elections come up or something? Anyway, it's very unlikely that Russians would want an Englishman upon the throne, even if he was married to a Romanov (who herself may or may not be a Russian). As for the topic, I think it would be better suited for the "Windsor" thread, or maybe the "Imperial Succession and the Throne" thread. This one is for discussing the Alexander Palace.
