Yes she does...Empress Marie Louise of France, daughter of Kaiserin Maria Threseia of Austria.

Marie Louise eyes were blue, I had never seen this portrait before, yes it could be Marie Louise, but definetely not Marie Therese.

I suppose it´s really marie Louise. There are portraits, where she looks different, but it depends also on the artists, I believe. This picture is also presented on the page of the Glauco Lombardi museum, which dedicated to Marie Louise of Parma and her descendants of the Albertine line, and they say that is her. On other pages there was sometimes said it´s her mother, but I don´t believe this. She really looks differently.

About the nose and the lips. I don´t think, that these features only come from the Bourbons, I think Leopold II., son of Maria Theresia had also a bit this appearance. I have different pictures, where he reminds me of this kind of nose and lips of his descendants!
But it´s not to forget that Franz Stephans mother was herself a Bourbon Princess, Charlotte of Orleans....

Yes...but Maria Theresa did look a bit like her father, King Ferdinand of Naples. The sensous lips, the eyes and the nose were his. Although it seems she had her mother, Queen Maria Carolina's colouring.  ;)

Yes, you seem to be right, I have seen some pictures of Ferdinand now and he really has this typical face. Do you have any good and bigger portrait of him? All I saw were only very little and not so clear and that´s a pity...would be interested in any in bigger size and maybe coloured...but maybe this doesn´t fit anymore to this topic then.

I wonder where the last picture of Empress Caroline Augusta is from...Never saw this before.  :-?

It's from a book about the Kaisergruft by Hawlik-van the Water. Die kapuzinergruft contains so many nice portraits, but unfortunately they're only in black and white.

Thank you so much for posting these wonderful portraits of Elisabeth Wilhelmine, synnadene!  ;)

I am especially glad to see the full and colour version of the second painting, because I only had this little detail which I've posted yesterday.

Is this book still available in Austria, or out-of-print already ?

Oh, I think it's out of print ... I bought it in Vienna some years ago. But I think it's still available in Austrian bookstores and maybe you can find it somewhere on the internet ...

It's a pity that I no more find the website with those portraits.  :( I only remember, that she was identified as "Elisabetta Guglielmina di Wurttemberg", so it was probably an italian site.

I read somewhere that she had a very strange relationship with Archduchess Sophie...why?Does the thing that they were ''just'' half-sisters?
