Oh, I should look into this book! :)
Here's a pic I found. I like the illustration!

Ha, is that supposed to be Rasputin standing in the middle?

Who is the Grand Duchess all the way to the left flirting with a soldier? It looks like Tatiana, being the Oldest it would most likely be Olga, but being the most flirtatious, it would be Maria if not for the pinned up hair!  ;)

It's Olga with the male lead in the story, an Englishman named John Kirby.

No, actually it's the stock photo from Amazon.com!
I hate when they change the covers because you might not be able to recongzie the book!

OH MY GOSH I looooooove this book!!!!  I'm an avid reader of Romanov fiction.  And this is one of the best!!! It's so romantic and just how we envision OTMAA.

I really found Snow Mountain rather boring, i really can't imagine Olga being so disrespectful to her mother and i can't remeber the word but well the characterisations are just so 2D
anyway i can't wait to read this book thanks for the tip, what other Romanov Fiction have you found?

 :) :)

I also purchased this paperback off Amazon.com and
even though it is sentimental and a little maudlin (but maybe that is why I like it!) I am really enjoying the read!   :D

It IS the way many of us would wish all the IF to have been (and who knows, maybe they were?) -- it is a very
enjoyable light read -- MUCH better IMO than "Snow Mountain" (which I couldn't even finish).   :(  As far as fiction books go - this one so far is the best I've read.

When I am through reading it....I will put it up for a trade on the "duplicate books" section....probably about another week or so.   ;)

Oops! - I had accidently posted this same topic. Thanks to our dear Sarushka I'll talk about it here.

I haven't read this book, but plan to get it for my birthday tomorrow (March 2). It sounds really interesting because my favourite GD has a love story (yeah I know it's fiction). I can imagine how heart-breaking it would be, though, because of Olishka's fate. How about if it gets turned into a movie?! LOL. I'm looking forward to reading Olya's kisses, which I'm sure there will be because it's romance.
Can anyone give further detail about it? Why is it childish?

Happy birthday!

I think they meant that the children are portrayed as acting childish.
