Supernatural Experiences
« on: September 23, 2005, 11:18:25 AM »
And no, I'm not talking about what happened when I first saw Eddieboy_uk's picture. Ahem!  ;D LOL!

I thought since we've got a thread about almost everything going here, I'd start one devoted to any supernatural experiences you may have had. You're welcome to share any photographs as well!

My experiences include seeing a glowing figure on the roof of the Lancaster Opera House, in Lancaster NY, living in a haunted trailer (oh yes!) where strange occurances happened daily--lights and tv turning on and off on their own, etc. I often saw what I can only describe as white cotton candy (candy floss) floating down the hallway on many occasions, and my mother often saw the spirit of a little boy, hiding in the bathroom. I've also had many interesting experiences with ouija boards, and one particularly frightening experience, while staying at the Susannah Flint House in Salem Massachusetts.

When I actually took the picture below, at Leigh Church graveyard, in Leigh-On-Sea, England,  I didn't see anything--and only noticed upon developing it, the figure hovering above the graves on the right. I'll let you decide for yourselves what you think it is...

Hmm . . . I've never actually seen anything myself but my Mum tends to attract the supernatural.

I have an uncle who died of cancer in 2000. He loved walking and cycling and nature, and things like that. About a year after his death, a group of his friends went to see a medium. They didn't say anything about him. She told them that a man they knew who loved cycling was in heaven and very happy . . .  ???

In 2003, my uncle's mum died. She had an ulcer on her leg and was cleaning it when she fell and ruptured an intestine. My Mum went to see a medium who at first said only commonplace things that didn't impress my Mum. But then she said 'There is a Lady in heaven with a sore leg who wants to say hello.'  :o

Oooh! Yes, my mother in law claims to be psychic. (Then why did she buy me a blouse two sizes too small?  :-/ ::)) While I'm always fascinated by her stories, I would never want to be given a "reading." What if something awful slips out like "You better get those thank you cards written Ellie, because you've only got __many days left!"  ;D

;D ;D As to the blouse, perhaps she has had a vision of you becoming anorexic!  ;D

Now that you mention it, she DID leave me an article about the newest fad--the "Egg diet" which she's gone on herself!  ::) Grrr!

Tsk. Mothers-in-law, eh? Most of my Dad's friends find it hard to beleive that he gets on well with my Nana, and likewise with my mum and Gran.  ;)

In Colorado Springs I stayed in a b&b rumored to be haunted. I heard lots, saw nothing.

We were cleaning out my parents' house after they died, and I was in the basement by myself.  I suddenly caught my mum's scent - a peculiar (but pleasant) blend of perfume, body lotion, and face creme.  Very distinctive.
Also, about 8 months later, I was alone at home in my basement, and I caught the same scent again.  This was around Christmas time - her favourite time of year- it was not creepy at all, it was just like she was popping in for a visit to see how things were.
Both incidents happened about 8 years ago now, and there has been no subsequent occurence.

Oh dear Eddie--of course I was talking about your real picture!  :-*  :)

My dear pal Grace (she usually hangs around the Windsor threads) and I talk all the time about time travel, and how we're either going to make a time machine, or buy one on Ebay! (Preferably not from the same seller that Uncle Rico bought HIS, in Napoleon Dynamite!  ;D) Our first port of call?? ANYWHERE EDDY IS! LOL!

Enjoy! I daresay poor Eddy will be quite bemused when you appear in his dressing room . . .  ::)
