This is from sometime earlier on this very thread. I take it you did not read it. I suggest going through the threads sometime. There really is a lot of information to be found.

OK kiddies, I had an idea to try to put the kubash on recoloring, it's really easy, and I ran it past Laura and she liked the idea. My idea was to put a nearly transparent watermark over the image, much like what Corbis and other companies do with theirs. I figure everyone would be happy because the colorers wouldn't really need to be worried about someone taking their photo to reuse, and others can have the enjoyment of seeing colored photos. Though it still would be possible to erase the watermark, it would be such a pain to do it wouldn't be worth it.

Anyway, I found a tutorial site for Photoshop users and one for Paint Shop Pro users.... if you use a different program, let me know and I'll try to find something for you. Doesn't mean I'll find something though, but I will try.

I encourage everyone to give this a go and see how it works out.

Photoshop: http://www.escrappers.com/signature.html

Paint Shop Pro: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/paintshoppro/ht/pspwatermark.htm

Here's the last colored photo I did of OTMAA, only with a watermark this time, just to let everyone see what I was thinking. OTMAA with watermark

P.S. - when I used the term "kiddies" above, don't worry, I call every group of people I'm around kiddies... I'm not singling out the younger set here.

And some clarifications…..

How you make a signature is to go to your toolbar to where the "T" is... that's the text tool. Then go to your pic and click and drag to make a text box. Once you let go of the mouse button, you'll see the cursor. Then type in whatever you want your signature to be. The font, font size, and font color information will be up at the top of the screen.

Once you have your signature, you can move it around using the move tool... it's located alongside the marquee tool at the top of the side toolbar. Then if you did step 2a, it then says to go directly to step 4.... therefore no drag and drop. Step 4 is for the layer modes and beveling and embossing. For the layer mode, make sure the text layer is selected and right above there's a scroll down box with the options. I chose hardlight... made it a little more visible. Then I did the filter. That's located under "Filter" > "Stylize" > and then choose emboss. My computer doesn't have the bevel option, so I didn't do it, but it still looks good without it.

If you have anymore questions, let me know and I'll be glad to help!

He died of polio.  He caught it from a playmate, I believe.
