Is this episode online anywhere? I'm a HUGE David Hyde Pierce fan, especially as Niles!

I haven't seen that episode yet. Is it one of the latest seasons?

And you can pretty much find all series these days on torrent sites such as www.isohunt.com or bittorrent

The episode is titled "A Tsar Is Born". It is from the seventh season.

I love Frasier! Enough sarcasm to sink a ship! I'll be sure to find this episode somewhere...

That was one of my favorite episodes even before I became a Romanov fan. Funny because they went from being descended from "royalty" to being descended from "whores and thieves".  Too funny!

It's "respond to dormant or stillborn topics day" today so here goes. Yes, I remember "You Are There" . It ran in the 50's and was popular and well-regarded by a public desperate for anything remotely serious in the vast wasteland of early tv. It may even have been thought vaguely highbrow.
Anyway, it wasn't bad. As the title said , You are there in various famous historical moments. An interviewer with a mike asking Marie Antoinette what she thought of the day's schedule. When you're a little boy you can be impressed with You Are There. But I fear it wouldn't hold up well, to put it mildly. Couldn't tell you which channel it was on . There were only a few big networks then in any case.

In retrospect maybe I would like to see the Murder of Rasputin episode. It might be interesting as camp or unintentionally informative history.

I'm learning semniotics in Uni and I think I understand it now :D.   Semniotics is where there is a sign or symbol that is referencing or reoccuring in a movie or play.

I am just watching the movie Natalie Wood, can't remember the rest of the title, but it is about the life and unfortunate death of the actress Natalie Wood.

It showed that Natalie's mother was Russian and at 4:59 you get a glimpse of the fridge which has a large print of the IF photograph stuck on the front... This picture below.

To me using the IF photo at the start of  her story shows that Natalie met with a tragic death same as the Imperial Family.

What other signs or symbols have you seen in movies? That are "ahhhhh I get it now moments."

I have that miniseries on dvd myself...

I love Natalie Wood's acting and her story is so tragic, as so many other story's of famous stars and Royals are...

Here mother made a remark that she was a far relative of the IF, but i don't know if this is proven. And indeed, i thought exactly the same thing about the picture and the connection between their deaths, also Natalie's fear of water and knowing she would eventualy die by it is so tragic, she loved the ocean and it became her end. It also mentioned Natalie was about to play in her first musical, Anastasia, probably based on the movie with Ingrid Bergman, i saw this somehow linking again to her Russian roots, tragic end and the myth surrounding it.

 Hi

The "Anastasia" Natalie Wood was to do was NOT a musical but it was to be her first theatrical production . It was a new production of the original stage play that had starred Vivica Lindfors back in the 50s. There is a big difference between the stage production and the film with Ingrid Bergman.

Oh also Dame Wendy Hiller was to play the Dowager Empress, Now that would have been quite a production!

Ohh, I thought the film stated it to be a musical. I'll have to re-check it.

That would be interesting to have seen :)  However in the scene it showed Natalie as a little girl possibly 7 or eight. :)

I heard of Shadow Hearts 2 that has to do with Anastaisa. Anyother games that have to do with the Romanovs?
