this has probably been mentioned, but in murder on the orient express when it shows the elderly princess and on her bedside table there are several photgraphs, one of nicholas and one of nicholas and alexandra , couldn't see the other two but still :)

apart from the picture of Nicholas & Alexandra from 1903 Ball there's also picture of Nicholas & one of Edward VII & one of his wife.

I remember that there is a handkerchief with the letter "H" left at the scene.  Everyone forgets that "H" is a Cyrillic "N" (except finally Poirot) and so Princess Natalia is not a suspect because they all think that the killer's name began with an "H".

I always remember that part, but I never noticed the pictures of the Romanovs.

By the way - What does Beaudeen from North and South have to do with Romanovs?  I have the complete set and I don't remember any Romanovs being mentioned.  Of course it has been many years since I watched it.

Beaudeen isn't from North & South. It's the name of the character in Titanic who makes the reference to Anna Anderson.
Hatred – this is a disgusting feeling. Yes, there is sport gambling, there is a striving to win. But to hate someone – this is awful! I think, that first of all you have to learn to respect your rival. -- Evgeni Plushenko

I apologise, the name just reminded me of that other beaudeen (a favourite character of mine) - sorry alixz!

Bodine that's his name (the guy with the beard who says it).

You reminded me of another Beaudeen ...

I was talking about this post.  The link takes you to North and South the TV series.

You forgot Jethrine, Tim M.
Anyway, which Titanic are you referring to   Vive ? The Titanic sank in 1912. Anna Anderson did not exist at that time. Am I missing something ?

Uh Robert... I think he meant the movie Titanic. That's what we've been recently talking about! Hope that helps!

Thanks, RHB,  however,  even in the movie, the boat sank in 1912. Where does Anna Anderson come in  at that time?

It was about our favorite "imp"... actually in a way it was more a remark about Anna Anderson imo what with her not being Anastasia and all!

It went something along the lines of them talking about "Rose", one of the two didn't believe she was who she said she was (even though she was) so he makes the remark when his boss mentions "101 next month" he replies "So she's a very old god damn (sorry for language) liar... like that Russian babe Anesthesia" he meant Anastasia but he of course said the word referring to that stuff that knocks you out! I know I had just started watching it the day before yesterday... Titanic's one of those take or leave and have to be in the mood for it movies with me though! They were just about to take another dive to Titanic if i remember correctly when he got her call! Bodine that's his name (the guy with the beard who says it).

Robert - this is what it is all about.

I don't know, Robert . . . as I've said before, I've never seen the movie, so this isn't concrete or written in stone or anything, but I've heard that the whole movie pretty much is of a reporter talking to an elderly lady in a nursing home, and the love story is like the eldery lady's flashback - hence, "She'll (Rose) be 101 this month . . . (Anastasia reference)". That was before the flashback, then during the flashback they're on the Titanic . . . hence the name, Titanic.  :) RHB, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong . . .
