Along with what Lanie said, I'll add my 2 cents.

The colored photos threads may be in the Having Fun section, but the focus IS royalty. Then why don't we move this proposed new section to the Discussion Forum? Because the colored photos threads annoyed so many people when they were in the Imperial Family threads, that they are the reason why we have the Having Fun section now. I say, if you have colored photos of non-royalty, great... but this site isn't the place to post them. If you really have to show off your non-royalty works, make a separate folder in photobucket and let people browse through on their own.

<<shrugging shoulders>> maybe it's just me, but one of the things I like about coloring pics of royalty is that we don't know exactly what color the dress was at that time the picture was taken, we can only go on description of their hair and complexions. I think that is a fun part about colorizing, choosing the colors! With Garbo, Gable, & Leigh (which I think would be a sin to try and color because the colors in GWTW are already perfect!) we know what the colors were.

If anything is going to happen regarding a new colored photo thread outside the Having Fun section, I think it should not happen until official permission is sought... either from Laura or FA.
