<<shrugging shoulders>> maybe it's just me, but one of the things I like about coloring pics of royalty is that we don't know exactly what color the dress was at that time the picture was taken, we can only go on description of their hair and complexions. I think that is a fun part about colorizing, choosing the colors! With Garbo, Gable, & Leigh (which I think would be a sin to try and color because the colors in GWTW are already perfect!) we know what the colors were.

Absolutely. Like, maybe giving OT matching colors, and then MA, or maybe all the same, all different, it's what I love about it, choosing the colors.

In the interest of giving everyone here a place to go and display their work, ask questions, and experiment to our hearts content without stepping on any toes I've started a Yahoo Group.

It's called Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors and it's all about coloring and restoring.

Ok.. so from what I see.. the offical vote is no.
So no for the "Having Fun" Threads. If one was to start up in the "Discussion Boards" I could see people getting peeved at it, as colouring is a "having fun" thing.

But since we've voted "no" here... should we just forget it?

I think so Laura. Too complicated for just one thread. There are other places on the web to post there pictures. And if they really HAVE to show everyone their pictures, they can put a link in their sig. It seems like everyone agrees that this thread isn't needed or appropriate.

I don't see what's wrong with havig them in the Discussion Forum. I mean, everything there is OT. What's the big deal? It's pretty much a "having fun" thread, too. We discuss dumb stuff that has nothing to do with the Romanovs.
