For my second post on here, I thought that I would add that as a kid of the '80s I grew up on games, and still enjoy playing them even though I'm nearly 30.  I purchased Shadow Hearts: Covenant the moment it came out.  It is a great game, but yes, it does not completely follow history.  However, to be honest, storytellers sometimes do that, because sometimes fantasy is better than history.  I will admit, however, that I do wish that on some points of the story the creators of Shadow Hearts would make some events more accurate.

I can easily picture a video-game version of Anastasia.  In fact, if I had the resources to make my own game with her in it, I would.  The game would of course include her sisters, too.  OTMA would look like what they do in Gina's picture.

The cartoon was rather disrespectful as well, though as a young teen I enjoyed it, it even came out on my birthday but now knowing about what really happened...it sickens me that it could be made into some cute little cartoon.
But it's fiction. Art isn't always meant to represent the truth. It's just a fun way of imagining what could have happened has Anastasia escaped.

Anastasia in the video game looks realy different from the real Anastasia  I would not want to buy it. She does not wear two braids on her head and her clothes they are terrible looking this is very mean and disrespectful to do that. Anastasia would not have been too happy herself.
You have got to be kidding right? Anastasia would have LOVED this.

I agree!

Perhaps an OTMA game would be a fighting game...

Can you imagine Anastasia trying to beat up on Tatiana?

Tatiana could flash the Serious Tatiana Look and it'll be K.O. time for Anastasia. :D

I think it's kind of cool that they worked Anastasia's love of photography into the character!

Antie's comment made me think of a fighting game starring the entire Imperial Family. Maybe it could be Romanovs vs. Revolutionaries/Bolsheviks?

I just got this image in my head of Alexandra beating Lenin up with nunchucks like Maxi in Soul Calibur II. To the tune of Cascada-style dance music. It's obviously time for me to go and get some sleep.

I think that a Romanov fighting game could actually be fun or even cute if it was done the right way (accurate depictions of them, with fighting moves based on interests (Olga beating up a Bolshevik with an incredibly thick book) and physical ability (obviously Alexandra couldn't handle the aforementioned nunchucks; that would be Anastasia's job) and realistic dialogue). Maybe I'll talk to one of my gamer nerd friends about it...

Ironically, I've written a pair of fan fiction stories that involve this Shadow Hearts setting where Anastasia and Alexei, who escaped the execution in the Ipatiev House, have to watch their backs from Soviet assassins sent from both Lenin and Stalin.
But on RonnieLee's message, I don't know how a fight between Nicholas II and Lenin would go--although I've got a weird feeling Lenin has been in more fights than Nicholas--but if there was a way to bring back Alexander III...I think he could rip Lenin in half.

I think that Lenin would beat Nicholas II. But only because Lenin would fight dirty and Nicholas would try to be a gentleman about it. Jeez...all Alexander III would have to do would be sit on Lenin. The results would be similar to running an aluminum can over with a monster truck.

I couldn't see Alexandra beating anyone up, though. I suppose she'd have to take on a "mad scientist" kind of role and use her wit to defeat her opponents. I wonder how a video game designer would handle Alexei? He couldn't exactly engage in hand-to-hand combat either, for obvious reasons.

(Please forgive me; I never did get that sleep that I so needed.)

Well, I don't know if I'd say Lenin would "fight dirty," because I don't know if I'd call street fighting "dirty," which is how I'd see Lenin fight.  Also, I think Alexander III could do more than "sit on Lenin."  He could probably easily break Lenin's back.

A Romanov fighting game is actually something I have been thinking of for a very long time.  The idea become even more appealing to me after I watched the myriad videos at YouTube showing Super Smash Bros. Brawl.  Take a look at this:

Honestly, I kind of think it would be a good idea to restrict the fighting to OTMA.  They could be on a mission to save their parents and brother.  Or something.

The final boss would be... Zombie Lenin.

But on RonnieLee's message, I don't know how a fight between Nicholas II and Lenin would go--although I've got a weird feeling Lenin has been in more fights than Nicholas--but if there was a way to bring back Alexander III...I think he could rip Lenin in half.

We could let Mashka do that.

I was thinking more like a Soul Calibur kind of game.

I totally want to give Alexandra a whip and model her fighting style after Ivy Valentine, except she wouldn't be as butch and would have a much more appropriate costume.

Tee hee, yeah, I don't think Alexandra would appreciate Ivy's skimpy outfit!

Anyway, I was thinking of a four-player Final-Fight clone, featuring the girls, that is similar to the TMNT arcade games:

Each of the four girls would have her own special moves and super special moves.

I suppose the final boss could be Papa Lenin and Uncle Joe.

Zombie Papa Lenin?

Rasputin could also be in there somewhere.

I want to see Alexei go against OTMA... it would be an interesting battle.
