What about other exhibtion catalouges?  For instance the one about Maria Feodorovna and the Copenhagen exhibiton. And the French catalogue, Un tsar à Compiegne. Has anybody here read them? Would be nice to hear opinions!

Dear Stepan,

The French catalog Un Tsar a Compiegne is available from www.amazon.fr It is a very interesting catalog indeed - there are many contemporary watercolours and pictures to commemorate all aspects of the French visit, many not seen before. There are also documents as well as pictures, but few actual photographs of the visit itself. I recommend this book! :)

Thanks Elisa and Arturo for the replies!  Maybe I´ll try to get the French catalogue since the Danish catalogue seems almost impossible to get now. I suppose these catalogues are often sold out very fast.

There is no way I am able to go to the exhibit in NJ (I's in NC ROFL )so I called the museum to see if I could order the catalogue online (they feature on their website) and they said no! Does anyone know where I could purchase it?

Same here, I left a message.  They called me & took the order by phone. I now have the catalogue.
Very simple.
Best,

Gilbert's Royal Books is now selling this catalogue. It is listed as catalogue #2023 and sells for $35.00 US. I didn't find it on their website, but it is advertised in their Royal Digest. You can just go on their website and e-mail them if you want to order.

Does anyone know or have this book? I understand it is a photo book of the IF and some belongings, but couldn't find much info on Amazon. Is it worth getting, or is it just well known photos from elsewhere?

Hi Georgiy,

Do you have any more details about this book or is it a catalog? The author is familiar to me but the combination of author and theme is not. Thanks. :)

I think it is a catalogue type of book of an exhibition. It's something like 110 pages long. I am not sure when it was published. I came across it when trolling for similar themed books on 2nd hand book sites. Amazon had it for $8 or so, but what with postage to NZ, I am not sure whether I want it if it is just the same old well-known photos etc. Would it be worth it or not? I haven't been able to find a detailed description of the contents, nor even a picture of the cover....I think it said something about coloured portraits of the family.
