Yes the dark Greek looks like his Uncle Konstantios and cousin Nicholas...

If the couple still has a boy, he should ascend the throne in my opinion - for tradition's sake. The succession to the throne is unfair anyway.

I hope that the crown prince will have a son to become king one day.

Well, if they still have a boy, which name would you choose?
Common names for Spanish kings are:
Alfonso (XIV)
Felipe (VII)
Carlos (V)
Fernando (VIII)
etc.
I would say Carlos (V) or Felipe (VII), after his father would be nice.

Our crown Prince, will be Felipe VI when he became King, so if he has a boy he will be Felipe VII, not Felipe VIII.

But even if they have one boy or more, i hope that Leonor would be one day our Queen.

Then again some of us are traditionalists in this matter and dread the thought of the Bourbon dynasty coming to an end in Spain.

I don't see why the Bourbon dynasty should end with Leonor, her children could carry her surname in the first place, its not that uncommon when the male line becomes extinct.

I know that is possible...The Netherlands does it...Spanish aristocratic families do it as well...most recently the Duke of Huéscar who is a Fitzjames-Stuart and not a Martínez de Irujo likehis siblings.

However, for me a dynasty ends when the male line loses the throne and given who royals marry these days, chances are dear, lovable, darling little Leonor will end up marrying someone just as commoner as her mommy.  Hurrah then we will say to the new dynasty of Perez, Rodriguez, Campos, Gonzalez or something equally common-sounding.  Then again I most likely will not live long enough to see that debacle.

I understand what you mean, Arturo, and yes, you are right in that point.  I tend to feel the same in the case of Maria II of Portugal's children; yes, they kept their Braganza surname, but they belonged to another family. Leonor's children will probably bear their mother's surname, but they won't be fully Bourbons. If that is what you mean, then I'm of the same opinion.

The dynasty of Borbon-España will hardly come to an end if S.A.R. Infante Felipe and his wife do not produce a male heir. Do remember that King Juan Carlos I has many male line cousins living in Spain and elsewhere. There are also the dozens of male cousins in the cadet lines of Borbon-Dos Sicilias and Borbon-Parme as well as the Royal House of Luxembourg who are genealogically male line members of Borbon-Parme. I suppose that the Infanta Leonor could simply marry one the many distant male relatives and the dynasty could continue to reign in Spain.

Actually the descendants of Maria II and her german consort bore the surname of Bragança e Saxe-Coburgo.
