All of you are welcome))) Melik-Adamov generally had a great sense of humour, unfortunately in Stalin's time he spent many years in prison camps...

I feel like I've seen this one before, but it's been a long time if so.

Wow they look so regal here. More than mere Grand Duchesses...Empresses themselves! And of course stunners as always :-)

I've never seen this one before....thanks for posting. I agree, they both look pretty regal here. I like Olga's pose in particular.

One of my new favorites. Can we get a location?

Antonina, could you help dating or locating this wonderful picture (new to me)? 1914 or 1915-16?

тяв-тяв,

New to me - sorry if repost (I believe Anastasia is to the far left of the first one)

Are they all Moscow 1914?

I can't estimate a place and a time. But I took it from the announcement of Buxhoeveden's memories (new edition). Now I'm waiting for my copy of this book. I think there is a comment to this photo inside.
Another photo from this source (I've seen it only without  Buxhoeveden before):

Looks like a yacht, probably 1914 because Tatiana's got her hair up.

I'm almost certain that this is from earlier than 1914 and it may be as earlier as 1912. You're right about TN having her hair...or at least it appears that way which ordinarily would make it no sooner than her 16th birthday in mid-1913. Additionally she also got typhoid during the Tercentenary celebrations earlier than year and they wound up shaving her head forcing on a wig. Her hair wasn't fully grown back even by mid-1914 as photos from that period indicate. She has more of an attractive short cut going there, whereas Olga clearly has her hair put up.

But look at her sister's particularly Anastasia and compare them to the formal photos from their 1914 sessions. AN looks much younger here and so does Olga. Marie's look was always more age "consistent" in my opinion but she still looks like a 12 or 13 year old girl (1911, '12) much more than a 14 or 15 year old (1913, '14).

Good questions though...perhaps someone can shed some light on this...

I'm also inclined to say 1912. Olga wore her hair in the same style Tatiana is wearing here (ponytail tied with enormous ribbon) for much of 1910. It seems to have been a transitional style worn by 15-year-olds before putting the hair up, and Tatiana would have been 15 years old in the summer of 1912.

Definitely! The giveaway here is AN. She grew and changed quite a bit physically in the two years between 1912 and '14. And here she's clearly much younger than the girl we see in those 1914 formals.
