Another photo of GD Tatiana Nikolaevna from Livadia in 1914



It appears to me that she's wearing a similar or the same dress? Unfortunately it appears that I've yet to add any 1913 Livadia/Crimea photos of Tatiana to my collection on Dropbox yet and I cannot access them... but we all know the wig she wore in 1913.

The two photos appear to have been taken in roughly the same spot.  Does anybody know which balcony this is? 

Also, according to Helen Azar's translation of GD Olga's 1913 diary, Olga and her mother spent a lot of time out on the balcony.  I wonder if this is the one she was referring to in her diary entries.

Wonderful picture of the Big Pair and officers.  Olga and Tatiana appear to be wearing identical dresses, although the trim on Tatiana's dress is darker than Olga's.

Ahh, wouldn't it be nice if they'd had color photography then?

Actually they had. In fact, Sergey Prokudin Gorskii's colored photos of Russia from the early 20th century are available here:

You have noticed that Anastasia colored their b&w photos to match the actual colors.
